Hellboy and his team from the B.P.R.D. were sent on a mission to Romania to investigate Vladimir Giurescu. This man was an officer during the Napoleonic wars and commanded Prussian troops in 1806, the Austrians in 1809, the Cossacks in 1812. He was in Paris in 1814 when Napoleon abdique and in 1815, he was found in Waterloo. During the Second World War, he made contact with the Nazis but in 1944 Hitler ordered his death: Giurescu and his six women were killed, beheaded and burned in Dachau. Giurescu was also very much connected with Ilsa Haupstein, a Nazi officer who took part in the Ragna Rok project. Project which seems to be re-launched by Haupstein and his former companions and which aims at the destruction of the world. And of which Giurescu would be the weapon of the plot, the power of this vampire would be unparalleled. Hellboy, who is also linked to the Ragna Rok project, has little time to act and find Giurescu's body.
