1956, somewhere in the mountains of western Virginia, Hellboy crossed Tom Ferrell's path. While he was a teenager, the young man sold his soul to a demon, an abomination called the Tordu Man. Together, Hellboy and Tom plunged into the heart of the Appalachians to face the demon and try to recover the soul of the unfortunate.
