John Constantine, a cynical and manipulative occultist, moves through a London where supernatural horrors are closely intertwined with very human problems of violence, politics, religion, and guilt. When lung cancer threatens to end his life, Constantine refuses to accept his fate and searches for a way out using the questionable methods that built his reputation. Through encounters with demons, ghosts, criminals, and people from his past, his choices often bring consequences for those around him. Between black magic, deception, and confrontations with the powers of Hell, Constantine struggles to survive while holding on to a personal morality that is as flawed as it is persistent.
