With the Justice League gone, the Crime Syndicate, an evil version of its members from another Earth, seizes control of the world and rules through fear. Ultraman, Owlman, Superwoman, and their allies neutralize the heroes and recruit numerous supervillains to their cause. Faced with this threat, Lex Luthor realizes that he can no longer rely on the planet’s usual protectors and assembles an unlikely team including Black Adam, Bizarro, Captain Cold, and Sinestro. Forced to cooperate despite their ambitions and rivalries, these villains temporarily become the main force capable of resisting the Syndicate and preventing Earth from falling permanently under its control.
