After a serious injury, Matt Murdock resumes his activities as Daredevil, but an intervention that accidentally results in a criminal's death profoundly shakes his convictions. Consumed by guilt and pursued by the law, he questions his methods and eventually accepts the consequences of his actions. During his imprisonment, Elektra takes on the Daredevil mantle to protect Hell's Kitchen. Meanwhile, Wilson Fisk, now mayor of New York City, intensifies his campaign against superheroes as the Hand prepares for new confrontations. Between responsibility, redemption, and war against organized crime, Matt and Elektra must redefine their understanding of justice and the limits they are willing to cross to defend it.
