In a world where Batman has gone too far, the Joker must save Gotham! The Joker, this maniac, this killer, the one known as the Clown Prince of Crime... if Batman, the Black Knight, dark on the dark side, why couldn't the Joker come out of his psychosis and become the White Knight? That's what happens after an unprecedented treatment healed the Joker and made him become Jack Napier again: a new candidate for the Gotham City Hall!
The scourge Jack Napier is back behind bars, but serenity is far from back in Gotham, and even less at the Wayne Manor, where Bruce struggles to regain balance and serenity. His worst enemy has not only shaken his convictions and raison d'être, he has also long-term destroyed Batman's image and legitimacy in the eyes of the inhabitants of his city. The disappearance of Alfred is not without sequence, although it leaves behind him an unexpected legacy: Edmond Wayne's diary dated 1685, the first of his lineage to settle in Gotham and opponent of a certain Lafayette Arkham, whose bones have recently been discovered in the Joker's cell
Ten years after Gotham questioned the real effectiveness of the Black Knight, Derek Powers took control of the Wayne family's assets and used the city's anti-terrorist unit to protect citizens... but at what cost? Gotham's vigilante is still in prison and, in his absence, it's Terry McGinnis to take over. But in this dystopic futuristic city, only the real Batman is aware of the dangers ahead...
Bruce Wayne is still locked up in prison, paying for his abuses against the city of Gotham and trying to make up for himself in the eyes of his former allies. But he has now established an increasingly strong relationship with his former enemy, Jack Napier's ex-partner, Harleen Fifteenl. As a young mother, she is contacted by the GCPD to support her on a case that will bring back to the surface the still perennial memories of her criminal past.
When Bryce and Jackie, the twins of the Joker and Harley Quinn fled into a stolen Batmobile, only Jack Napier's hologram, has a hope of bringing them home safe and sound and keeping them away from the seids of the Joker. But crime is not the only temptation they will face: the children discover a secret that could bring their father back to life for good! Will they get to revive the greatest enemy of the Black Knight?
