Facing threats on an entirely new scale, Captain America and Iron Man decide to greatly expand the Avengers in order to create a team capable of responding wherever Earth is in danger. New heroes join the veteran members as the team confronts events connected to the mysterious Builders, the evolution of the planet, and powers emerging from the far reaches of the universe. As the crises grow increasingly vast, the Avengers are drawn into cosmic conflicts where Earth’s survival depends as much on their ability to fight as on their capacity to remain united.
