King Subtil decided to make Fitz, the illegitimate son of Prince Chevalerie, his personal murderer. He therefore follows in great secret the teaching of Umber, who initiates him to the complex archanes of the court and to the art of diplomatic assassination. He who for all remains the king's bastard will be formed to the Magic Art, discipline reserved to pure blood.
