Tom Taylor and Lucky Luke covet longhorns in Abylène. Tom, who has a toothache, is forced to go to Tombstone for treatment by the famous dentist Doc Holliday. However, the city is in a boil because the elections that oppose Wyatt Earp to Old Clanton, the outgoing mayor, take on the look of settling accounts. The Earp family, assisted by Lucky Luke, will face the Clanton family in duel. Once again the law and order will prevail and the elections can take place in honest and democratic ways.
