On the Land of Arran the invasion of the Goules continues inexorably, like the gangrene that necrocates the flesh... In the semi-elf state city of Trein Er'Madenn, the high council categorically refuses to trade with the Men, devoking them a hatred and an unbounded resentment. Urghain, one of the most important councillors of the city, revolted by this sectarian behavior gets drunk in a tavern and accidentally kills his owner. Condemned by his peers to the Fosse, he is miraculously saved by a mysterious unknown. The latter captured a Goule and told Urghain and his friends that the invasion is imminent leaving little hope for the Semi-Elfs. According to him, the only way to save is to unite with the terrible Lah'sa and his army of Goules... But for this, Urghain must convince the council and the task will be arduous because, how to persuade an assembly to pact with the demons?
