About the year 1000 BC, King David invested the small city of Jebu, located at the crossroads of important trade routes, by entering through the tunnel that fed the old water. The monarch concentrated in "Yerushalaim" (the city of peace) the political power and worship of Yahweh. Due to lack of time and money, he could not build a temple to house the Ark of Covenant. It was his son, Solomon, who offered a temple to the city and his god. Herod the Great re-established him, to make him one of the most beautiful sacred places in the ancient world, and marked the land with remarkable buildings: the fortresses of Massada and Herodion, the city of Caesarea and the palace of Jericho. At his death, the Roman procurators ruled the land, and their lack of respect for the Jewish customs led to rebellion and war against the occupier. Jerusalem and his temple were destroyed in 70 AD. Only 960 were re-declared and the first-dead were made. The first-deeds. The first-deeds. The first-deeds. The first-deeds. The first-deeds. The first-deeds. The first-deeds.
