Introduction
Haerin (해린), born Kang Haerin (강해린) on May 15, 2006, is a South Korean singer and dancer best known as a member of NewJeans, a K-pop girl group introduced in 2022 under ADOR, a subsidiary of HYBE.
She is recognized for her gentle vocal tone, controlled delivery and choreographic precision. Her understated yet expressive stage presence contributes to NewJeans' artistic identity, which combines contemporary pop, R&B and electronic influences.
Career
Haerin developed an interest in dancing during childhood and attended a specialized dance academy before entering the music industry. She subsequently trained at Source Music and later at ADOR, where she prepared to join a new girl group.
On July 22, 2022, she debuted with NewJeans through the release of the Attention music video. The group quickly achieved international success with songs including Hype Boy, Ditto and OMG. In July 2023, Haerin contributed lyrics to New Jeans, a track from the mini-album Get Up, which reached number one on the Billboard 200.
Alongside her music career, she became a Dior ambassador in 2023, representing the luxury house across jewelry, fashion and beauty. Following an extended interruption of NewJeans' activities caused by a contractual dispute with ADOR, she confirmed her return to the agency in November 2025. In September 2026, she made her first public appearance since the hiatus at a Dior Beauty event in Seoul.
