Peter Tosh was a Jamaican singer, guitarist and songwriter, and a founding member of the Wailers alongside Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer before pursuing a solo career. His music blended roots reggae, ska and rocksteady, with strongly political lyrics focused on social justice, civil rights, Pan-Africanism and cannabis legalization. With albums such as Legalize It, Equal Rights and Mystic Man, Peter Tosh became one of the major and most outspoken figures in Jamaican reggae.
