Monkey D. Luffy is a 17-year-old boy with an elastic body whose dream is to become king of pirates. He then leaves his small village of Fushia to go on an adventure, and tries to find the man who had entrusted him with his straw hat years earlier: Shanks le Roux. After a few trips he meets Roronoa Zoro, a bounty hunter who will become the first member of his crew.
