Yamcha is defeated by an old man named Jackie Chun (who is Kame-Sen'nin in disguise). A man named Namu, who comes from a drought-stricken village, defeats Ran Fuan (who uses striptease). Goku defeats a dinosaur named Giran after a long fight where his tail reappears. In the semi-finals, Kuririn is surpassed by Jackie Chun. In the other match, Goku fights Namu in the air and wins. Kame-Sen'nin (as Jackie Chun) explains to Namu that he entered the tournament to prevent his students from winning and becoming arrogant. The final, Goku vs Jackie Chun, begins; the two exchange attacks, and Goku takes the advantage.
