A 3rd class is selected for the Battle Royale program. The principle is simple: students have to kill each other until there is only one left. Adapted from a novel that has become a cult film, this manga allows, violently and disturbingly, to address the contradictions of today's Japan and its teenagers who refuse the pattern of their elders. Through a cruel game, it is the evocation of the malaise of a generation that dominates this exceptional title. Contains volumes 1 to 3 (luxe edition)
