The Nihils have locked hundreds of worlds in their occlusion zone. Deprived of communication and reinforcement, the Jedi Keeve Trennis and Elzar Mann turn to technology forgotten for centuries, to send them messages of hope. In return, they receive the testimony of a growing resistance movement against the oppression of Marchion Ro. Who are the heroes of this struggle? The Jedi Qort Knight is preparing for a conflict on Eriadu, the investigator Jedi Emerick Caphtor is looking for the origins of the Sans-noms with the help of an unexpected ally, and the monster hunter Ty Yorrick is tracking the Nihils on Dalna, a ravaged planet. An unprecedented format for The Upper Republic, with this collection of short stories exploring the consequences of the status quo of Phase III and highlighting isolated characters at the heart of the conflict.
