A messenger from Satan is sent to Earth to negotiate with Spawn. Al Simmons must abandon his costume to preserve Wanda's soul. Spawn refuses this deal and fights the demon, which results in Wanda's death. Al attends the funeral of the love of his life, but faces a Terry Fitzerald, terrified by the pain of having lost his wife. Al erases the memory of his coming, but obviously does not intend to stay there...
