Back in Craw County, Earl Tubb has one thing in mind: emptying the house of old Uncle Buhl and leaving as soon as possible from the small town of Alabama he left 40 years ago. It will be enough to alter with a few rooms at the corner dinner to turn this stay into a descent to the underworld. A hell made to measure by Euless Boss, coach of the local football team and sworn enemy of the late Sheriff Tubb, father of Earl. Contains SOUTHERN BASTARDS vol.1 (#1-4)
The small village of Craw County has built its reputation on the quality of its local cuisine, the bonhommie of its inhabitants, its relative calm and the legend of an ascent to the summit: coach Boss. In a region where only the finest flower of the worst crappies manages to make its place in the sun, how far do we have to go to become the largest, the most respected, the most powerful? Only coach Boss knows...
As if the facts had never existed, nobody in the small town of Craw County dared to mention the massacre of Earl Tubb by coach Euless Boss... Yet the inhabitants were about to host his traditional Feast of the Former Students, and with it, the twentieth meeting of the Runnin' Rebs against the team of Wetumpka. A match whose coach already sees himself as a winner.
Coach Euless Boss reigns with an iron hand over the small town of Craw County, Alabama, and even Sheriff Hardy can't help this tyranny. Far from appeasing his fury, the defeat of his team against their rivals of old, the players of Wetumka, is only opening the valves of uncontrollable violence. In his eyes, enemies are now everywhere, and Roberta Tubb, back in town to get answers about the death of his father Earl, may well be the first to make the cost.
