In this second volume, Le Jeu du Pendu continues: corpses are piled up in the alleys of a Gotham that is increasingly in panic. Even the police are not safe. Inspector John Flass, a venal and corrupt man wearing a Gotham police plate, is found dead near the door of a lupanar. The incorruptible Gordon and the mysterious Batman continue to conduct the investigation, without finding the key to the riddle contained in the sybillins words hung on the corpses.
