Three women, a messy market and a Mexican bastard to pull the strings. Yaretsi, the Mexican'orc, finds Sister M, a mystical killer, and Serena, a cat with a verb as sharp as her knife. She offers them a deal: to work for Ignacio Juarez, a trafficker without faith or law who wants to seize the "Deorantiqua", an elven grimoire containing ancient and secret knowledge, to sell it to the cult of the Watchers. But nothing is simple: Yaretsi seems to be the shadow of herself and Juarez transpires violence and lies. Behind his beautiful speeches hides a more twisted plan than it seems. Between betrayals, magic and lost bullets, the trio engages in an impossible flight, where the slightest mistake could well send him six feet underground.
