Okko, the masterless rônin, is at the head of a small group of demon hunters and thus surveys the lands of Pajan's empire. He is accompanied by Noburo, a singular giant who hides his identity behind a red mask, and the monk Noshin, a fantasy monk and great lover of sake. The latter has the ability to invoke and communicate with the forces of nature. Tikku, a young fisherman, will appeal to Okko to find his sister, Little Carpe, who was kidnapped by a horde of pirates. Following this track, Okko and his companions were pushed by the storm to the castle of Sotorro. Well received by the masters of the place, they come to intergage on the mysterious atmosphere that reigns there. Tikku, eager to take action, decides to inspect the castle to discover what he hides.
