Returning to her native land, Captain Fey of the Iron Legion has to face the Orc threat. If she wants to save her family, she, who has spent most of her life on the battlefields, will have to take up a challenge of a whole new nature. While she goes to the bedside of her dying mother, Fey discovers that the fortress where she grew up is besieged by hordes d'orcs. The area, isolated from the rest of the kingdom of Leon, is condemned. Fey decides to rebuild a viaduct collapsed for millennia in order to allow the rescue to intervene. But the runes that linked the stones have been destroyed and forgotten for a long time. The bet seems impossible to raise, until she discovers a notebook belonging to her father, a certain Aral of the Temple.
