Promoted to the rank of Mage of the City of Castlelek, young Shannon has to deal with strange phenomena, and unexplained deaths. And there are these children... these children with disturbing eyes. Shannon has to protect her city but everything gets complicated when children discover a hole in the basement of a house where they are sucked and then spit out. Since then, they are, how to say... different. To these facts is added the death of the master of the archives. An accidental death? Maybe not. Shannon leads the investigation and this one leads it to the children, these children who seem to obey a foreign entity.
