Unfortunately, the 22nd cavalry under the command of Captain Stark and in which Blutch and Chesterfield serve, has a very bad reputation: It is the regiment of death, the regiment from which we do not return. In short, these superlatives discouraged those engaged to enroll in this regiment. The 22nd cavalry is therefore forced to organize its own recruitment: Blutch and chesterfield are therefore sent through the campaign to find volunteers, which is not at all Blutch's taste.
