The Troggs was a British rock band formed in Andover in the mid-1960s around Reg Presley, Chris Britton, Pete Staples and Ronnie Bond. The group became known for a simple, raw and direct sound blending garage rock, beat, rhythm and blues and pop, driven by catchy riffs and an immediate sense of energy. With iconic songs such as Wild Thing, With a Girl Like You and Love Is All Around, The Troggs became one of the notable British rock bands of the 1960s and an important influence on later garage rock and punk.
