The Black Keys is an American rock duo formed in Akron, Ohio, in the early 2000s by Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney. Their music blends blues rock, garage rock, soul and alternative rock, built around gritty guitars, tight rhythms and production that often keeps a deliberately raw character. With albums such as Brothers, El Camino and Turn Blue, The Black Keys became one of the leading acts of the blues-rock revival of the 2000s and 2010s.
